Guy has been writing songs and performing as a solo artist for a number of years. He performs regularly as a band member, sideman, band leader and solo artist. He is known for his expansive range of musical skills, as well as his ability to take any style of music that he plays and show his own distinct voice within it. As a composer/songwriter he again shows a diverse range of skills, equally at home writing for himself as he is arranging for big band or composing for film. As an instrumentalist his repertoire contains a vast range of instruments including guitars, saxophone and keyboards but predominantly focusing on working as a drummer and singer-songwriter. ​

However it is in his own projects that he demonstrates his personal vision and his own highly original approach to music. In November of 2024, Guy spent a week in Liverpool recording an EP with the brilliant Joe Sage (Mathilda Mae, LARO). Together they recorded the 5 songs that will make up ‘In A Season of Love’ (due to be released over the course of 2025 and 2026.) These are all entirely performed by the multi-instrumentalist, who worked closely with Joe to consistently deliver high quality work which audiences will love to come back to again and again. When playing his own music live, he chooses to performer with a live band to showcase his songs and compositions as they were written, and therefore as they are designed to be heard.
